Their Majesties King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway met with MOT SA
It was a real honour for students from the Further Education & Training (FET) Colleges, MOT presenters and MOT SA Board members to have met with King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway on Thursday, 26 November 2009. MOT SA presented the MOT programme to Their Majesties in the form of an exhibition at Zeekoe Vlei Yacht Club. Annalizé Blake from the Arts & Design Department at the College of Cape Town assisted MOT SA with arranging the exhibition.
The King and Queen were very interested when MOT presenters and students gave feedback on the MOT programme and the significant impact of the programme on their lives.
The Norwegian word “mot” means “courage” in English and South Africa is extremely fortunate to have acquired the intellectual property of Norway in the form of the MOT programme. MOT Norway has an exceptional 12-year track record of success.
The MOT programme is presented at the Further Education and Training (FET) Colleges, with the majority of students being between the ages of 16 and 18 years. In 2009, the MOT programme was presented to 8055 FET College students in the Western Cape.
